Greater Growth: ITA Welcomes Additional Help in its Team

We continue to move forward in Italy through ITA as this current update looks back on the month of August.

One of the distinguishing signs of growth in a ministry, you could say, is when new members join it! For the longest time, ITA has sought out more full-time help for the labor of training pastors and elders in Italy.

Our recent move to Rome, and plans to further reach existing churches in this more central location, along with strengthening our ties with churches in the rest of Italy, has accentuated this need.

With much gratitude and praise, I can now thankfully say that this prayer has been answered. The Lord has graciously provided additional help for the ministry.

It is the ITA team’s joy to welcome Cesare Albanesi to the training of Italian Theological Academy in Italy. Cesare along with his wife Melissa and three young children will soon be joining the work on the field.

Please see the link below to learn more about Cesare and Melissa Albanesi and children. Pray for them and for their financial support specifically as they seek out partners to assist them to the field.

Our aim at ITA is to be pleasing to Him (2 Cor 5:9). Therefore, our godly ambition in Italy is the progressive pursuit ofeffectiveness in the biblical training of men for the ministry and all the church for sanctification and Gospel witness. The Lord’s addition of Cesare, we are convinced, is further testimony to this resolve.

Cesare:

This will be our final year in the States. I will be finishing the last 2 semesters of my ThM and we are as a family in the process of raising support to go back to Rome and serve with the ITA team there. In the meantime, while still in States, I will begin in my role as a full-time professor for the ITA teaching 3 classes for the incoming academic year.

We are excited to join the ITA team in Rome and have the opportunity to serve and partner with the Berean Church. This church has been a faithful beacon for the Gospel in Italy for over 50 years and a powerful instrument that God has used in both our (Melissa and myself) lives. Being saved and grown-up in this same church, it is a joy now for me to return and to be part of what God is doing and will do in Rome through the Berean Church and the ITA.

Continue to pray for us as a family and for the ITA as a ministry. In a postmodern age where everything is relative, it is more important than ever to train men to rightly divide the Word of Truth!
